No more rain overnight and as we got going, so the clouds cleared and the warm sun came out. We got a text inviting us to join the other 4 vans who were moving on to Marrakesh, but we had decided to stay another night, so we waved them off.
After breakfast Terry went to see the site manager to reserve space for the 11 vans of the rest of the group who expected to be here just after lunch. We then moved to the area he was going to "reserve", quite open but a little wet where the compacted sand was still drying out.
Due to the appalling weather on the way down from Asilah, Bertie got very dirty so Terry gave him a wash whilst Bren had a clean up and vacuumed the carpets inside. Surprisingly we've still got a satellite signal so we enjoyed Ken Bruce whilst relaxing with books etc. until lunchtime. Then as we were cooking, so the tribe turned up, but there were only half a dozen of them, and due to the ground conditions they chose to use the marked and segregated pitches, leaving us on our own again. However a couple of French vans joined us later - they were towing trailers so it was easier for them.
Then the heavens opened again and the wind got up. For safety we retracted the satellite dish before relaxing again with knitting, books, sewing and internet - a good signal here.
As I write it has just got dark. The rain has stopped and the wind dropped and we can hear the omman calling the faithful to prayers!
The weather forecast is not very good for the next couple of days and we're undecided what to do, stay or move on. We'll probably have a chat with the others later and decide in the morning.
But for now we've still got the telly!
Looks like you are still enjoying yourselves regardless of the weather
