Our first call was to Lidl’s car-park where we were to meet and buy our ferry tickets. A favourable rate had been negotiated by the guys from Motorhomefun but it took a little sorting out. For those who want to know how it’s done see my separate post – suffice it to say that by the end of the day we all had the necessary paperwork, even though we were shown as booked onto several ferries over the next couple of days! It is no problem, they said, you have our guarantee! Hmmm, we’ll see.
Next shopping; there are several different supermarkets here apart from Lidl. We used Carrefour but Mercadora and Dia were also there. As well as the inevitable MacDonalds. There were also dozens of motorhomes, mostly from France, doing the same as us. You are not supposed to overnight in Lidl’s car-park and a separate area has been designated a few hundred metres away. That night there were well over 120 motorhomes parked up.
So we adjourned there and took over a small section for our group – as well as the Bella Vista lot, several more of the group joined us there. We thus settled down for an early night as it is an 8.30 start in the morning.
